Puzzle Pirates
This is the game I created for my 2023 Final Year Project in TUS Clonmel Game Art and Design. All of the visual assets from the sprites to the UI were created by me. I used Clip Studio Paint to draw each of them. Because the game is in the matching block genre the User Interface being effective was very important. I made sure that each that each piece of the UI had personality and fitted the pirate theming, but not so much as to be unintelligible.
Might of Melissa
A small scale project created in my spare time. Inspired more by the arcade and scare chasing games. This is what lead to designing and inserting borders on the side of the gameplay; it was in to invoke the feeling of a ported arcade game. The simplistic and cartoony nature of the designs was also a result of this.
Bear's World Of Toys
A mock up created in my third year of college as a group project. I was the lead artist and designer. The project brief was to create an educational children's game for mobile; we decided to make ti themed around toys from around the world. This project was in some ways the visual prototype for would be my final year project.
Devil's Advocate
A mock up created as a creative exercise. This was inspired by the Ace Attorney games, but with an angelic/demonic flair. Because of this I tried to give the UI design a bit more personality specific to the two characters in the mock up. this visual aspect was inspired by the game Celeste, in which each character has a unique dialogue box, and a unique "voice."
